If you have been following me on social media, you know that I am a cat lover and owner. So I was looking around on the internet and I came across Cat Cafes. This is where people go to have tea and look at cats. Pretty self-explanatory. We had never been to a cat cafe so we decided to try out Shakespaw Cat Cafe which is in Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire. It is not too far from us so it seemed like a good idea.
This cat cafe is on Union street and is resident to 7 gorgeous cats. The cafe is open from 10am to 6pm every day except on Tuesdays. There is also a age restriction for children under 10, since children might not understand the rules and cats get easily stressed. The atmosphere was so lovely. The cats have an upstairs and a downstairs and are free to move around.
The trip only cost us £10 for the both of us, and the money goes towards looking after the cats. I also loved the interior decoration in the place. Each person/group is allowed one hour and half at a time which means there are less people in the room and this prevents the cats from stressing out.
Puck– he is the youngest of the bunch. A black and white male. He was very friendly and likes cream. He tried to drink some from my hot chocolate.
Bottom is the grumpy Persian. He spent most of his time nervously walking around and avoiding people.
Viola is the tabby. She mostly asleep for the time we were there.
Hermione is the rag-doll. She spent most of the time asleep.
Romeo, Juliet and Tybalt– These are the three white cats and they spent most of their time asleep downstairs. I didn’t get a picture of these guys since they were asleep.
We had reservations for that evening so we had something light. A hot chocolate and a coffee, but the menu is varied. There is a variety of cakes and sandwiches.
I absolutely loved my time at the cat cafe and I would definitely recommend it.
